Dating back to 138-268 A.D. this ancient roman coin is set in sterling silver and hangs on a 22-inch, sterling silver diamond cut ball chain. The front of the coin features Roman Emperor, Licinius Valerian. The back features the horse of Erichthonius.
A Hellenistic-Roman city and harbor, Alexandria Troas (also known as "Alexandria of the Troad") was set on the Aegean Sea close to the northernmost point of Turkey's western coast. When traveling from Anatolia to Europe, the harbor was strategically located. The apostle Paul initially set out for Europe from Alexandria Troas, and he returned there after his European voyage. The Bible mentions Troas in Acts.
